Carters Group Profile

Carters is a family owned group of companies based in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia and established in 1972 by Wal Carter.

The company has developed from its core in general engineering, to property development and related services. The company provides a unique and complimentary range of products and services.

Wal's brother Ian joined the company a few years after establishment, and the brothers expanded from general engineering into structural steelwork and materials handling projects.

When Ray Carter joined his brothers in the late 1970s, the company was well established in its current location and commenced diversifying into rural buildings and industrial property development. The 1990's saw an overhaul to the structure of the business, and successes have been achieved in exporting conveying equipment and in technology development.
